Play the file. Aim at the flash.
The movie is the pattern. A second phone with Lip Sync reads delay through the real display and speaker path.

Turn off motion smoothing, interpolation, and “TruMotion” on the projector or TV.

Play from the media server or HDMI player. Route the file’s audio to the speakers you are timing. Do not AirPlay or Bluetooth the file — those add their own delay.

On a second phone open Lip Sync → MEASURE. Set the same FPS as the file. Aim the red dot at the white flash.
These website files omit the QR code. For latencies above ~500 ms, export from the app with QR on: Settings → TEST FILE. The in-app exporter can also write 30 / 60 / 120 s clips in H.264 or ProRes, with optional QR, and share to Files, AirDrop, or a USB stick.
